TEXAS RISING STAR RECOGNITION The Texas Workforce Commission offers the Texas Rising Star certification to preschools by evaluating various aspects of their environment, staff qualifications and quality of learning. Let's celebrate that our Wesley School, which offers after school care for 90 kids, has received their highest ranking of 4 Stars! Great work and congratulations to our Director, Miracle Moseley; Assistant Director, Jalesa Jones; and all the staff.
MISSION The mission of Wesley School is to inspire a lifelong commitment to learning by nurturing the “whole child” by providing a stimulating environment that facilitates a foundation for academic, social, and emotional growth.
TEACHER OF THE MONTH Started in February of 2024, each month the Wesley School staff vote on a Teacher of the Month. That teacher gets a special labeled parking spot and recognition at the school entrance. They are also featured in the church's monthly newsletter and social media accounts. HISTORY First started as Wesley Kindergarten in 1963 and established as Wesley School in 1986, Wesley School is part of the Memorial United Methodist Church (MUMC) and is governed by an appointed board. The board meets regularly with Wesley’s Director to review and establish the policies of the school in the best interest of the children and families involved.

The Wesley School Board is to function as a policy-making body and a support to administration in overseeing the personnel and financial operations necessary for successfully carrying out the policies established. As a policymaker, the Board typically decides questions such as "What?," "Why," and "How much?" relative to issues under consideration. It leaves administrative decisions, such as determining "Who?," "When," "How," and "Where?" to the school's administration, becoming involved at this level only when necessary, and then only in an advisory capacity. Board members are expected to attend and participate in all Board meetings and support the school in promotional functions. Current Board Members:
