Who We AreFamily + Hope + ComfortThese are the words our members and visitors think of when we ask them how they feel at Memorial.
We are a welcoming community. All are welcome here.
Come as you are. You can wear leggings and a t-shirt, and you can dress up. For some of us Sunday is the only time we get to dress up. Be yourself!
Our pastor wears sneakers and a stole. Robes are worn at Advent and for special occasions like funerals. In the worship image of Pastor Robyn shown below, she regaled us with both a Mary Poppins-inspired demonstration and a Star Wars reference. She's one to literally jump into any situation, or dumpster, to get things done.
We have coffee. At everything. At any time.
We like to hug, but we'll ask first.
We want to grow and learn. We want to grow with you and we want to help you know Jesus better. We'd love to meet you.
Mission:To make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Vision:We are aspiring to live our mission with passion, generosity, and intentionality.
Land/LocationLand Acknowledgement:
Memorial is located on the ancestral lands of the following nations: Comanche, Lipan Apache, Coahuiltecan, Tonkawa and Jumanos. Once our webmaster figures out how to use the special characters of the native tribes, we will update the Comanche and Lipan Apache names listed here. Find the ancestral lands where you reside, worship or work at https://native-land.ca/.
Our current location is actually the third location for Memorial.
1st Location: started by Swedish immigrants in downtown Austin at what was then called First Swedish Methodist Church from 1873-1897.
2nd Location: at our second location we were called Central Methodist Episcopal Church and were at this site from 1897-1957.
3rd Location: Our third location is our current location at 6100 Berkman Drive, Austin, TX 78723 and we have been here since 1957.
FacilitiesOur campus is made up of three separate buildings built at different times. In order they are:
1) The church (chapel, sanctuary, choir, kitchen and offices)

3) The Gym with kitchen and Sunday School rooms
