at Camp Mabry
Memorial marches against hunger. With your support food is put on tables of those in our local community and we support our global community too! In 2024, we continued to fight against disease, disaster, displacement and other challenges that leave people hungry.
Memorial has walked Crop Hunger Walk since 2015. Connie Tatom and her dog have always represented us, many times with Betty Sanders by her side. We were so excited to have a team of 5 this year! Not only do walkers walk the 1 mile course, but they also learn about hunger statistics, sanitation challenges, Central Texas Food Bank, raising animals and more at stations set up at the walk. Walkers also served this year by creating hygiene kits and writing to our state representatives related to food legislation.
We raised $595! Thank you for going above and beyond!
Wheelchairs and dogs are welcome on the Camp Mabry track. If you want to join us next year, we'd love to push you along with us or walk next to you under your own power. We'll walk again in February 2025!
